MoU between Legal Resource Foundation and Embrace Values and Standards

Embrace  and the LRF signed their Memorandum of Understanding on 20th July 2020.  This important step forms the basis for a partnership to develop holistic participatory interventions with specific regard to Article 10 of the Constitution for uptake in the institutional legal environment with emphasis on the anti-corruption agenda.

Appreciating the relationship between ethics, national values, justice and the law this partnership will also address the culture of law and how the role of National Values can be established and applied within the legal infrastructure.

2019

Renewal of the MoU between the Directorate of of National Cohesion and Values in the Office of the President and Embrace

The MOU between the Directorate of National Cohesion and Values and Embrace Values and Standards (Kenya) Ltd is designed to progress the Kenya National Values Standard (KNVS) in accordance with existing government policy and as described in the KNVS Concept Paper. Further, it looks to engage support to deliver Phase 1, Initiation, and Phase 2, Development.

Phase 1 will verify, validate and amend as required the proposed programme as expressed in the KNVS Concept Paper, and then define Phase 2, Development, including detailed plans and estimates.

Phase 2 will develop the formal KNVS Standard Framework with supporting services, resources and systems, including methods, learning frameworks, and implementation tools. It will also build capacity for implementation and operation of a sustainable KNVS.

These Phases will provide the framework for the Directorate to undertake Phase 3, the Implementation of the KNVS. 

February 2019

Directorate of National Cohesion and Values (DNC&V)  consultative meeting for  key stakeholders on the Kenya National Values Standard (KNVS)

Wanyama Musiambo, Deputy Head of Public Service, delivering the keynote address at the Kenya School of Government.

The event raised awareness and understanding of the KNVS, explained its objectives, and described its anticipated benefits. The session heard an outline of the proposed programme to transition the KNVS from concept to national roll-out. 

2017

Directorate of National Cohesion and Values Workshop on national values standards.

The workshop considered the practical issues relating to the implementation and operation of a national values standard.

2015

Embrace colloquium on Kenya's national values

These discussions, held at Hassop Hall, Derbyshire, was the inception of the Concept Paper for the Kenya National Values Standard which was delivered by Embrace in March 2016

2014

National Equality Standard (NES)  for County Government conference, Utali Hotel, Nairobi

This event introduced the NES to a diverse audience. The NES programme was devised by Embrace in collaboration with the Transition Authority and National Integration and Cohesion Commission. 

2014

Tripartite MoU between Embrace, the Transition Authority, and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission.

The three organisations formalised their collaborative working relationship by signing the MoU following a series of workshop sessions held in Matlock Derbyshire.

2013

MoU between the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NICC) and Embrace signed

The MoU established the structure for future collaboration between the two organisations following joint working on a number of initiatives relating to challenges facing Kenya in the run up to the election of 2013.
